Nature’s Restorative Impact on Healthcare Design
As we near the end of 2024, we can’t help but reflect on this year’s incredible journey. It’s been a non-stop ride (in a good way!) and we’ve had the chance to see the power of nature’s restorative impact on healthcare design firsthand.
We wrapped up some major healthcare design projects this year, including collaborations with Allina Health in Minnesota, Community Alliance and Children’s Nebraska (both in Omaha, Nebraska), and UAB Medical West Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama to name a few.
Every healthcare installation is an opportunity to make a real difference in the surrounding community, and seeing nature’s restorative impact on healthcare design is what keeps us going and gets us excited about the many projects ahead.
The healthcare environments shown above were all about creating spaces that inspire and heal, using nature photographs to make people feel at ease and uplifted.
The healthcare institutions and partners involved in these projects are at the forefront of the healthcare industry, understanding that every detail can affect the physical and mental health journey of the entire care team. And that’s really what it’s all about.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing how nature’s impact on healthcare design can transform built environments into places of comfort, healing, and hope.
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we hit a huge milestone in 2024 – 20 years of bringing nature-inspired imagery into hospitals and healthcare environments – that’s two decades of blending art, design, and healing in ways we never could have imagined when we started.
What began as one man with a camera framing photos at his dining room table, slowly evolved into a team of 5 like-minded, nature-loving, passionate, and highly caffeinated creatives making a splash in the healthcare design industry by bringing the healing beauty of nature indoors to people who need it the most.
Witnessing nature’s restorative impact on healthcare design project after project fills our cup in a way only the soothing power of nature can.
Of course, none of this would be possible without you – our amazing clients and partners who’ve been with us every step of the way.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our 20th-anniversary open house at our Mastercraft Studio in downtown Omaha, NE. We had a blast catching up, sharing stories, and talking about more ways to bring nature indoors.
Special shout out to the Allina Heath designers who we’ve collaborated on several projects over the years and who traveled from Minnesota to mark this milestone with us. Having clients we consider friends makes the work we do even more meaningful.
To all of our partners and collaborators, you’ve trusted us, inspired us, and made the journey more fun than is probably even reasonable, and we’re grateful for your support as we explore new innovations in nature imagery and push the boundaries of what nature inspired art looks like allowing nature to have the most positive impact possible on the people you serve.
We’ve got some super exciting projects lined up in the new year and will continue reaching out to any environment wanting to harness nature’s restorative impact on healthcare design to benefit patients, families, and staff.
The more our society advances technologically, the more we need the healing power of nature to create balance and healing in our fast-paced lives.
The more developments we make in medical treatments, the more we’re uncovering the constant of nature’s restorative impact on healthcare design when it comes to mental and physical wellness across all fields of medicine.
We plan to keep collaborating with the incredible partners we’ve worked with before, and we can’t wait to team up with new ones. Every project brings fresh ideas and energy, and we’re ready to hit the ground running in the new year.
